String trio Whitney Johnson, Lia Kohl and Macie Stewart have revealed the performance video to accompany their recent release, ‘Stone I Piece’. Directed by Derrick Alexander at International Anthem’s new space-based project, The Land School. The trio have re-interpreted the track in comparison to its recent studio release. They perform using both their voices and their string instruments, and use live tape loops to transform the space into an abstraction of timbre and time. The resulting performance defies simple description, and instead feels like a unique intersection between ambient music, improvisation and minimalist modern classical music.
